CERM Risk Insights #24

Hello Readers:

AccentureRIMS, and Deloitte issued ‘state of risk’ reports this month.  The RIMS Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) survey states that ERM acceptance has reached critical mass.  The Accenture 2013 Global Risk Management Study concluded that risk management is challenged by skills shortages particularly in risk analytics.  Deloitte in the Global Risk Management Survey focused on the financial services industry and reported Chief Risk Officers (CROs) are now more common and boards are providing more risk oversight.
A thought occurred to us:  Based on the above risk surveys, do you think that ISO standards developers want to make all ISO standards risk based?  So, ISO 9001 becomes quality risk management system and ISO 14001 becomes the environmental risk management system and so on.  Something to think about!
So, good reading.  Tell us what you think.  Best,
