CERM Risk Insights #38

Hello Readers:
Our basic premise is that each of us will evolve into a risk manager.  Why?  We live in VUCA time – time of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity.
Critical Data Point:  World Economic Forum was in Davos last week. Economic disruption and risk were key issues.  Take a look at the following: 1. Global Risks 2014 and 2. Risk and Responsibility in a Hyperconnected World.  Cyber risk is a global phenomenon.  Read Freemium below.
We are developing a new certificate – CERM Cyber Security.   Why?  We look at patterns and try to discern the future.  What surprised us this week was that 1/2 to 2/3rds of the most popular articles in the New York Times dealt with cybersecurity.  So, here’s our next prediction.  All critical personal data is in digital form.  All of us are now evolving into digital risk managers.  .
FREEMIUM: We are offering CERM Risk Insight readers FREE access to the CERM Cyber Security Webinar Series consisting of the following webinars: Cyber Crime 2014; Cyber (Asymmetric) Warfare; NIST Risk Framework – New Standard of Due Care; Cyber Risk Assurance; Cyber Warriors- Who Are They and How do You Become One.  Our advisory committee decided that cyber webinars will be FREE in 2014.  A $500 value.
And, for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 companies migrating to risk, we hope to offer free webinars in 2014 as well.
So stay tuned.  We will announce the dates of the cyber security webinars shortly.   Best
