CERM Risk Insights #51

Hi Readers:

We are seeing the rise of the Chief Risk Officer.  Why?  ERM is moving into statutes and rules.  ERM is moving to operations and the supply chain.  ISO is also adopting ‘Risk Based Thinking’ as its tagline.  So, what’s going on?  Take a look at the following:

+  Dr. Nigel Croft, Chair of TC 176, talks about ISO 9001:2015 revision.

+  Anette Mikes, Professor at Harvard Business School, writes about the Triumph of the Humble Chief Risk Officer.   Her piece shares lessons learned in the deployment of ERM and ISO 31K in a power and manufacturing company.

We are also expanding the focus of our emagazine into engineering reliability.  We hope you enjoy the pieces.  Tell us what you think.  Best,
