Well, now the above seems to be conventional wisdom. Let’s look at some data points.
Well, let’s look at these data points:
- 1.2 million ISO 9001 certified companies have to adopt Risk Based Thinking and some form of risk assessment starting this month.
- 400,000 ISO 14001 certified companies will adopt risk.
- ISO has adopted Risk Based Thinking and has elevated it to the level of importance as PDCA.
- More than 20 sectors have adopted risk management.
- Many sectors are making ERM statutory.
So, Is risk management the Future of Quality?
We think so.
