After you read the data, consider if this is the trend and what can you do different to get a response from a recruiter?

The answer:  Your approach and attitude.

Response Required:  82% of workers expect to hear back from a company when they apply for a job, even if the employer isn’t interested.

Request Ignored:  75% of people who applied for jobs in the last year didn’t hear back from the employer.

Bad Scene:  26% say they’ve had an unfortunate experience as a job applicant.

In the Dark:  60% say the employer never let them know about the decision after an interview.

Deceptive Advertising:  43% say the job didn’t match what was written in the job posting.

Money Talks:  32% say they’d be less inclined to purchase from a company that didn’t respond to their application.

One and Done: 42% say they’d never again seek employment from a company they felt mishandled their application.

Never Say Never:  56% say that a good experience — even if they weren’t hired — would lead them to consider seeking a job with the company again

Positive Word of Mouth:  37% say that a good experience would encourage them to tell others to seek employment at that company.

Purchasing Power:  23% say they’d be more likely to buy products/services from a company that provided a good application experience.
