#440 – FLORIDA’S UNDER WATER RISKS – CAPERS JONES

Readers are urged to do their own research on sea level changes.   The Google Bard tool said that many coastal Florida locations would be under water by 2050.  The next set of pictures hopefully will not occur.  However, the Google Bard artificial intelligence tool answered my question of “when will parts of Florida be underwater due to global warming?” with the year 2050, so I am including the next illustrations of sinking Florida cities:

Using AI for Coastal Living Improvements

Coastal Florida is overcrowded by people and autos, and especially the barrier islands such as Siesta Key.

It is embarrassing to an American that Japan and China are building artificial islands, using driverless water taxis, and driverless vans, busses, and taxis but none of these exist in Florida as of 2024.  Even California has driverless taxis and water taxis.

Florida developers should look overseas or to Key West and begin to plan artificial islands, underwater hotels, and the use of driverless water taxis and autonomous vans.

Mainland Florida, and especially the Barrier Islands on the West Coast, are at peak capacity at the end of 2023.  By using the technologies that already have been used in China and Japan additional homes, hotels, and condos could be built on offshore artificial islands or underwater.   By using water taxis or a more expensive underwater tunnel, Siesta Key winter traffic in 2050 can be reduced by more than 75% compared to 2023.

Another important topic is what will happen to Florida’s coastal cities by 2050 if global warming keeps elevating sea levels.   Some parts of Sarasota and Siesta Key could be underwater.  It is time for the government and developers to begin to think ahead, and consider using artificial island, floating hotels, and underwater condominiums than can last 100 years instead of new surface buildings whose ground floors may be submerged in 25 years.

Florida and Sarasota workers are also at risk of job losses due to artificial intelligence.  Hopefully the State will begin to move forward in protecting citizens from global warming and from job losses due to artificial intelligence.

Artificial intelligence is designing and building modern homes, hotels, shopping centers, and even new cities throughout the world.   By 2050 the world will look very different than it does in 2024, and new designs created by artificial intelligence will be a major contributing factor for the Sarasota of 2050.

Artificial intelligence will have a major impact on U.S. and global jobs, and current data indicates that more jobs may be lost than new jobs created.   Hopefully economists, political leaders, and AI computer experts can work together to ensure continued high employment of humans in spite of the power of artificial intelligence in handling information faster than people can.
