Internet Addiction is a particularly insidious problem for the Worldwide Internet of Things.  You can stay out of bars if alcohol is your problem.  You aren’t usually confronted with crystal meth on your desk at work.  The Cisco VNI predicts that by 2017, there will be 1.4 Internet connected devices, 10 billion devices, for every person on earth, 7.6 billion people.

Internet addiction is almost comparable to food addiction except that you can live without the Internet, can’t you?  Would Online Treatment for Internet Addiction be an oxymoron?

I am also thrilled to say “I told you so”, in my post:                             https://insights.cermacademy.com/2013/06/big-data-and-privacy-not/ that includes the villainous Dr. Big Data gloating about getting everyone addicted to the Internet in the video: http://youtu.be/IdealDevilNet.

I would write more on the subject but I have another 2317 emails, 549 tweets, 363 instant messages and 666 websites to visit before breakfast.
